Job Description

Please note this role requires fluent Dutch and English language skills

The Asset Management department is responsible for managing a portfolio of European Solar PV, Wind, Battery and Grid Services assets on behalf of Statkraft and external investors.

The department manages all commercial and technical aspects of the assets, starting in the construction phase ensuring that projects are implemented effectively so that they move into the operational phase efficiently.

A key involvement is the prepare for operations? phase of projects to ensure that the assets can be operated effectively to achieve and exceed their forecast financial returns.

Experience of Plant construction is desirable.

The Commercial Asset Manager will coordinate with and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders including, but not limited to, Financial Institutions and their advisors, project investors, technical advisers, landowners, grid operators, meter operators, legal, accountants and other professional advisors, off takers, regulatory bodies, local authorities, service providers and internal Statkraft teams including Development, Finance, Legal, Construction Project Management, O&M and Data Analysis.

The Manager will be responsible for performing the services which are defined in the relevant project agreements.

Commercial Asset Analyst key activities and responsibilities

  • Assist in and be aware of the need for safe work systems and conformity with relevant national regulations and Statkraft Way on Plants under management
  • Assist CAM and TAM colleagues in the delivery of Commercial AM tasks to Plants under contract in NL
  • Assist Technical Asset Management team to deliver services to clients (both internal to SK and external clients)
  • Cooperate and coordinate with Statkraft O+M
  • Work closely with CAM NL and TAM NL in the delivery of Asset Management services
  • Support NL Business strategy, reflecting the OAM function effectively
  • Assist in the maintenance and development of the common OAM approach across all Statkraft markets
  • Assist in the provision of the services defined in Statkraft Asset Management Agreements to 3rd party client and internal Asset Owners as follows (see AMA for more detail);

Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent required with a concentration in business, finance, accounting, or other relevant discipline.
  • Experience of management of SPV accounts, reporting, producing budgets for near, mid and long term
  • Experience in budget and SPV financial management; including monitoring and regular reporting to clients, banks, financial institutions on mthly / qtrly / 6monthly and annual basis.
  • Cooperation with Auditors in annual (and as reqd) SPV audit
  • Experience of working with financial concepts and perform financial analysis including ROI, IRR, and discounted cash flow modelling.
  • Experience of contracts, agreements, leases etc . Particularly;
  • NL RE subsidy schemes e.g. SDE+
  • Landowner and lease management
  • Grid operator and grid conection agreement management e.g ATO
  • Community benefit schemes and funds e.g. crowdfunding and local participation schemes
  • Meter operator management and liaison
  • Power Purchase Agreement and R2M providers e.g. analysis and tracking of grid curtailment and resulting revenues
  • Experience of effective risk identification and risk management (including Health & Safety implications).

  • Knowledge of solar PV plant (Wind Storage and other technologies desirable) operation and maintenance (can be built upon with experience in the role).
  • Experience in Asset Management of Renewable Energy Plants, specifically Solar PV plants (Wind Storage and other technologies desirable) including stakeholder management.
  • Awareness of policy and regulatory frameworks applicable to asset management.
  • Knowledge of the European renewable energy industry and key market trends.
